Pirate Bay bought out

In what seems must be an April Fool’s joke (seems to me the date is June 30, must triple check this) the Pirate Bay, the interweb’s darling “Dennis the Menace” has seemingly been purchased and the new owners want to go “legit” with it ensuring publishers and music whores get paid for said downloaded software linked via the trackers.

A statement has been issued by the folks who watch over the site claiming that if the owners screw with the site then no one will come to it.  In other words they won’t stand for it.  Should this really happen another site will be opened and TPB will fade into history as the #1 torrent tracking site of all time.  That is until the new site makes TPB #2.  As of right now the link to the statement is in the lou so I will link to it when it’s feeling better.

Lego: WTF?

E3 is ready to go and this week will contain a crapload of information from all the major publishers as to what’s coming to us in the next year.  Sadly, Lego: Harry Bottom has been announced.  The tits of this virtual cow have been milked dry and not only has Lego jumped the shark, Guitar Hero has also officially jumped with # 5 announced.  I think next we’ll be seeing Guitar Hero: Mini Pops and Guitar Hero: Spoons.

LOTRO to the 360?

Rumor has it that a MMO is finally coming to the 360.  A real MMO not similar to something that is very eastern and not really of interest to me.  Granted, nothing will replace WoW but if there’s a chance that I could sit in my recliner and play one that I enjoy on a 42″ plasma.  Well, sign me up and call me giggly!

Stay on target!

Savage VS Steamboat

Since I’m you-tubing classic matches this morning I had to re-watch what is probably the best match of all time. Macho Man CS Ricky Steamboat.  Enjoy.

I miss Piper’s Pitt

I won’t argue.  Piper’s most famous promo is the coconut scene with Snuka.  However, it overshadows his other countless amazing performances.  Just to give you a taste (and allow me to wallow in the past) here’s an absolutely “milk out the nose” promo I just came across.

Heartwarming

These are the kinds of articles that remind you that there are still good stories in the news.

You know you play too much WoW if…..

Stolen completely and unabashedly from here:

…words like gank, pwn, and aggro have made it into your regular vocabulary.
… you find yourself hitting your push-to-talk key to the person next to you, on the phone, or any other place that’s not Vent.
… You’ve had nightmares that involve Death Knights, Murlocs, or *shudder* Gnome Rogues…. you think of your errand day in terms of a quest log.
… you think of gifts for your friends and family as rep turn-ins, and you’re hoping for epic lootz under the Christmas tree.
… you secretly wish that playing the stock market was as easy as the auction house.
… when none of your friends want to do something IRL, you seriously consider PUGging it. (BTW, anybody want to go to a Griffin’s game?)
… You’re so spoiled by in-game camera controls that when watching TV or Movies you long to be able to pan and zoom.
… You find yourself shouting Leeeeeeroy! when you’re nowhere near a computer.

Because dogs are cool

Dogs do have the best life.  They love life to the fullest and it’s a lesson that we could all learn from. I can’t embed the video from the site as it seems it’s not allowed so you’ll have to view it via this link.
